Back in Karlstad, monday, and it getting darker earlier on the afternoon. Karlstad is a nice town, I like it here a few days at the time. Not that big town when it comes to population, but they have a lof of restaurants. My favorite is Br. Olssons Elektriska and I have wrote about this place before in my blog.
Today was jus a small dinner with my friend, Fredrik, and then back to my hotel again. Early morning, drive to Stockholm.
New menu and new dishes to taste, and to pair we have a lof of different wines. But food first. First plate was Chark; that is different cheeses and hams and olives on a plate. Second plate was HUSÅKNÄCKE ”Delipizza”; crisp bread with cheese called Västerbotten and Salmon pastrami, sour cream and red onions. As main I had Kalv ”Dill & Ättika”; Calf with black pepper and lemon, fennel roasted carrot, sour dill butter and potatoes.
Then we had some great wines to this. Started with Champagne Jean DUMANGIN Brut Millésime 2011. Then we had; The Federalist Chardonnay, Rutherford Hill Chardonnay as whites. First red was Domaine de Ferrand Châteuneuf-du-Pape 2016, then The Federalist Cabernet Sauvignon, Terlato Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley, Chimney Rock Cabernet Sauvignon Stags Leap District Napa Valley. Was a happy evening with a wounderful dinner and top, top wines.
