Friday Part 2 – Restaurant 28+

After my visit at Café 3 Små Rum brewery, I walked over to SOMM Restaurant & Wine Bar for a couple glasses of Champagne. Today I drank Jean DUMANGIN Terroir Brut Reserve Blanc de Blancs. It´s really one of my favorite Champagnes, the value for money that no other have in the same price range.

The dinner was booked at Restaurant 28+, it´s a 1 star Micheline Guide restaurant and have been for 19? years I think. It´s a icon on the restaurant scen here in Gothenburg. I was looking for a night with very good and very nice wines.

Some of the food that was put infront of me was things like this; Oysters, Mushroom risotto with fried turbot, cheeses, applecake with cardamom ice cream and so on. fried turbot was very, very nice. I wanted more pices of that one, not only three that I got…;-), but I can´t complain on this dinner. I understand that they have got the star for 19 stright years.

Then for the wines, that was something over the top. But I know that the winelist at 28+ is very, very great and they are well known for it.

Some of the wines this night was; Saint-Joseph Saint-Pierre 2013 and it was Leroy Maranges 1990 and Leroy Bourgogne 2000. The Leroy Maranges 1990 didn´t stop to blossom in my glass, incredible great wine. Wounderful dinner and night and went back home very satisfied.
