Time again to have a tasting for new menu and wines at Somm Restaurant. It´s always fun to do these tastings, just sit down and let the chefs serve new food and taste wine blind to it and then say which combo I like best. Also good to have them regular, so the guests that comes on a regular basis, can eat something new. Like that.
First out was Beetroot * marrow * goat cheese * walnut, and to that we matched with Ebner-Ebenauer Grüner Veltliner 2018. Next dish was Skrei * smoked butter * cabbage, and with that we matched it with Malvira´ Roero Arneis Vigna Renesio 2017 BIO.
Third dish was Pork cheek * swede * mustard * allspice, wine to match this was Christophe Pacalet Beaujolais Villages. Last dish we added was what I call the Cheeseball. It´s round and eat it with the fingers, fingerfood. Wrångebäck cheese * cloudberries * macadamia and wine is NETZL Zweigelt Classic.
4 new, very good, dishes with 4 new wines that matches very nice. Just to run down to Somm Restaurant and eat :-).
